CNBC Business has a great piece on how Slated is transforming film finance.
I’ve written some FAQs about Slated

Citizen Gangster, about the infamous Canadian bank robber Edwin Boyd, and whose director won an award at the Toronto Film Festival, has found U.S. distribution. (See my post on the film.) The very highly regarded distributor IFC picked up the rights. Release date tbd.
For indie filmmakers seeking help on how to use SAG actors in their productions, SAGIndie is a godsend. They hit the film festivals, conventions and trade
shows to spread the word that running your production through the Guild is easy, fair and protective. They also have an extensive FAQ. I wrote a guest post for the site, and it’s now up. The same piece is also available on my Huffington Post blog.

The Toronto Film Festival welcomes one of its own. Citizen Gangster, in which I play a police detective in 1950 Canada, has been accepted into the Toronto Film Festival, which runs Sept 8-18.
Edwin‘s site for the festival is here, and the site for our Program, Special Presentations, is here.
The title character (right) is played by Scott Speedman. Of Canada.

The Flyover Film Festival kicks off tonight with Another Earth and my Q&A after, and the Louisville media has been absolutely fantastic in helping promote both the screening and the festival overall. Both WAVE & WBKI hosted me on TV this morning, and I’ll be on Terry Meiners‘ show this afternoon.
