If you haven’t looked into ‘Wigs,’ the new channel on YouTube, you should.  wigs hm pg screenshot
It’s full of great, original shows, and features actresses like Julia Stiles, America Ferrara, and Maura Tierney.

I’m in an upcoming webisode called ‘Ro,’ with the wonderful Melonie Diaz. It will premiere this Monday on the site,
on Christmas Eve.  Check it out.  If you’re finished with your shopping, that is.

Here’s a trailer.

In anticipation of the Jan 7 college football championship of Notre Dame vs. Alabama, wsj pce on nd vs bama alums
the Wall Street Journal has a funny piece predicting the winner by comparing some of the two schools’ alumni.

The writer did his research:  He discovered that two ‘Lost’ actors are from the two schools.  One of them is me.  Check it out to find who went to ‘Bama.

The Election Candidates as Movie Protagonists

Posted on: December 4th, 2012 by wmapother 2 Comments

I forgot to post this link a month ago, what with my advising top political strategists and all.  It got a little busy.

I co-wrote an op-ed for the Huffington Post with Lynn Vavreck, a noted political professor at UCLA and author of  The Gamble.  Through the prism of Lynn’s extensive polling data, we considered the two candidates as traditional movie protagonists—studio films vs. indie films—and the strengths and weaknesses that suggested for each of them.

Yes, the election is over, but if you’re into that sort of thing, the piece is here.  I also have a couple other pieces up on HuffPo, and they’re here.

Commence the horror, please

Posted on: November 29th, 2012 by wmapother 1 Comment

Apologies for the last notice, but a few weeks ago I shot an episode (#2.07)
of American Horror Story, and I just learned that it airs tonight at 10pm on FX.  Check your local listings, please, etc., etc.

It’s a bit perverse to say this on the heels/toes of such a gruesome show, but Happy Holidays!

Celebrity Ghost Stories

Posted on: November 5th, 2012 by wmapother No Comments

The TV show ‘Celebrity Ghost Stories,’ on Bio, features people telling, well, ghost stories.
I did one earlier this year, and it aired last night.  For failing to promote it, I deserve to be haunted, I know, I know.

However, all is not, well, lost. (You’ll get the joke if you watch the ep.)  Bio has kindly made the ep available for online streaming here.   Boo!
